Thank you so much for this important information. I think I will give up my Canadian PR, since I am basically living in US now, and will in the future. To give up my Canadian PR, how should I proceed this - contact Canadian Consulate General in LA (I live in SF, CA, but the office here doesn't have immigration section)? Any advice from you will be greatly appreciated!
