Red Flag, I-485 pending, EAD to be expired, Please help

I-140(extrodinary ability) approved in April 2005, I-485 files in at the beginning of May. Got EAD, AP soon. Got notice from Nebraska saying that my case had been transfered to Washington DC in may 2006. Checked through different way and was told that the delay is because of the "security check". It is common so far. The atterney working at the case were confident and comfortable. Nothing is out of expection.

Then I was told by the University that I am with a REAL red flag, rather then a name checking. Congressman's office letter show that FBI needs to work with other abroad agencies to investigate my case, which may take years. Filed extension of EAD and AP in June 2006, but nothing happend! No rejection, no approval. Went to local InfoPass in August, 2006, got 8 month extension, instead of one year. In december 16, 2006, went to local CIS for extension EAD, not accepted. Now the EAD is going to be expired within 2 month, I am going to lost the employment, health insurance, and even driven licence (local office refused to renew it without EAD)!

The attenrgy seems not having much to do with this and suggest WOM. Any comments and suggestions? I understand that lots of people's I-485 are pending, but most of them are for name checking, and their EAD can be processed and extended at least, am I right?

Any comments and suggestions will be appreciated.
