Can I get back to US after landing in Canada?

My I140 already approved, waiting for the priority date of I1485(current April 2005, mine August 2006). Immigration to Canada was approved, medical exam need to be done. Worried if I land in Canada, can I get back to US? I know it is better not to travel to China after I140 is approved.
