My J-1 waiver is still pending at USCIS (I have favorable recommendation letter from DOS) and my I-485 is also pending (I-140 was approved). I am using EAD for work. Now I am wondering if it is necessary and Ok for me to apply for H1B visa. Is there any effect on my pending 485? Your suggestion and input will be greatly appreciated. thanks.
