Citizensip Application - stuck in FBI name checking

I passed the citizehsip test a year and half ago, but still waiting for FBI name checking in order to get the final notice of the oath. I did verbal and written inquires to the Immigration Services. The director wrote me back saying they can't move forward until the FBI name checking is cleared. I My green card will be expired soon. Does anyone know how to speed up the process.
