questions for B-1 visa extensions

my parents came to US with B1/B2 visa, multi-entries and one year validation. but they only get 6 months stay on their I-94. i am considering to get another 6 months stay without filing extension for them. i already know they could not travel Canada or Mexico and come back to get a new I-94. what i can do?
