Here is my experience:

12-15-2006: got e-mail, I-485 "Approval notice sent" .12-20-2006: got e-mail, "Card mailed" at 12-29-2006.
12-21-2006: Green card arrived in an regular envelop without USCIS logo, return address showed only from an PO Box # from Mesquite, TX.
12-22-2006: I-485 approval notice arrived in an USCIS regular sized envelop.
