急问：lawsuit的Summons一定要找别人寄吗？

Lawsuit (for GC name check)file上去快一月了，当时没有仔细想，就自己把Summon和Complaint寄给被告了。现在收到回执，准备给法院,才发现好象有规定不能自己寄，应该找一个与本案没有关系的人寄。请问这很重要吗？我现在已经寄了，还需不需要重寄？如果我把现在的回执交给法院，会不会因此案子被拒了？

另外，法院有一个“Proof of Service Summons and Complaint”的表，但那是给第三者寄件时用的，我这种情况应该不适用。那么还有什么表可以填吗？还是只能给法院一份回执的复印件？（我在LA，法院“CENTRAL DISTRICT OF CALIFORNIA”）
