1. Why don't you ask a lawyer or USCIS this question? If the lawyer says yes, then you only need to pay him/her less than what you would receive. The USCIS service phone line is even free.

2. I did some research and agree with you about the source of the benefits. However, if your hu*****and makes enough money and you have EAD, why don't you try to find another job?

Just my personal opinion, no offense to anybody.
