Please help: Unemployment insurance benefits?

去年我被公司LADOFF， 但通过我老公的绿卡申请我刚刚拿到EAD CARD。我正想从EDD申请拿失业救济金，但不知道是否属于拿公共补助，而影响我的绿卡？谢谢大家！
