priority date got kept or not

I am in EB3 and got I-140 approved. Since EB3 queue is so long, I am thinking to change an employer and ask him/her to support me to apply through EB2. If I change an employer, does my priority date get kept? Or I would get a different priority date?
Really appreciate any feedback. This really bothers me. Also, the salary in my company sucks.
