EDA problem

Old EAD for H4 will be expired on January 23rd, 2007 and renewal applicaiton was just ted to USCIS this month. If the renewal EAD card can not be approved before January 23rd 2007, will there be any legal problem if the H4 quits the current job. Thanks.
