小妹预持有效B1商务签证明年来美, 想问以下问题:
1. 她打算过来后改H1-B或F1,是否可以?成功的比例大吗?
It is always possible but always very hard to change status from B1.
2.如果申请工作签证(H1-B), 如果四月提出申请,是否有等到十月才能工作还是可以立即工作?
Yes. She needs to find a sponsoring employer to file for her as early as possible in April for effective date on Oct 1, 2007.
3.如果转学生签证(F1), 不知如何自己办理?
She needs to get admission from a college or university. The school will have international office that helps with the process. She cannot file for F1 by herself.
4.身份未转之前,可否申请驾照?
NO. B visa holders generally cannot.
