Fingerprint review & NC

Just found my current status of 485 changed to "Fingerprints review completed" after two years and 4 months' idle (LUD did not change). I do not think fingerprint review has anything related to NC clearance (I know my case was stuck at FBI since August of 2004). However, I have a few question and appreciate any help:

1). Why my wife's case still show "Fingerprints taken and being processed."? Both of use did FP on Aug. 2004, Jun. 2005, and Jun. 2006...

2). After NC is clear, will they change the status to "NC completed"?
