WorthIt and others, I-485 ...

Being so new to this forum, I know little about I485, I have a couple of I485 related questions. Thanks in advance!

1. I filed I485 last month and got a letter recently scheduling me a biometrics (code3). I saw here in this forum some said 2nd FP, my question is: is 2nd FP absolutely required in the green card process or only necessary when the first expired? In other words, does everyone need a 2nd FP?

2. What's the procedure for I485 in general? After FP, what's next? NC?

3. About NC, what's the determining factor on the speed of it? The sensitivity of your area/field or the complexity of your past (e.g., moved a lot, changed jobs a lot), beside individual variation/luck?
