actually I recalled INS particularly clarified the GAP less than 6 months between two H1s would be OK since its pretty tough to get a job if laid off in DotCom collapse recession time...

Anyway, I don't think CIS would deny your 485 just because of this 3months gap. surely they can deny it if they'd like to do so...
