Can I getinto Canada by my MapleCard applied 4yrs ago?

I got Canada Greencard 4 years back, but never lived in Canada except landing once.
I plan to visit my friend in Canada over this big weekend.
I know my maplecard is expired since I had not been staying in Canada for 2 years out of 5-year.
But I once read a post here saying its ok to use it to enter into Canada.

Question: Can I get into Canada by my expired Canada GreenCard?

It would be appreciated if anyone with similar experience to clarify it.
