Thanks, Radiology and Xiaobiatu. this is very helpful. If I quit school, I will be out of status. DO I have to wait until I get an EAD card or something? If I file now, am I going to get it before next semester starts? My materials are in Texas Service Center. Thanks.


the following is more detailed information about my case. INS asked for evidence in Sept. it was not about our marriage though, it was about documents proving my legal staying from 2001 to 2005. They received our materials on Oct. 17th. then I got a letter from them on Oct 25th, saying that they can not make decisions because my background investigation remains open.
