请教儿子申请大学的身份问题!

儿子来美国四年, 现在正在填写大学申请. 我们的I-140已经批准, 现在是I-485等待阶段. 大学申请表上是选择绿卡(permanent resident)还是国际学生(international student)身份? 我写信去几所大学讯问得到的是模棱两可的回答. 恳请大家特别是有过类似经历的朋友指点! 谢谢!
