If your income meet the poverty line, your hu*****and do not need to file I-864A.
I-864a only is uesed when the sponsor has not enough money to support the benificiary. And not only your hu*****and, but your friend also can be co-sponsor. Right now, the new I-864 is good for sponsor because your property and deposite in bank also can be counted as income.
