the first one is NO. At first, you are not resident in canada in term of tax, not immigration. My accountant told me I got to sign a paper declaring that I woull give up canadian welfare and benefit. And maybe I can not own any property in canada under my name.You'd better consult your lawyer and accountant. There will be some papers to sign.
