485 Pending, 小孩上大学问题

我持H-1B，EB2 485 pending。小孩原来持H4，高中快毕业，因为打工申请了工卡。现在联系大学要Visa Status证明。本州H4可以享受本州居民申请学校待遇。但我小孩因申请了工卡而失去了H4身份。请xiaobaitu，radiology, twocets及各位大侠提供建议，万分感谢！
