question on salary of part time H1

I will lose my job next month.
_:'( So my friend helped me to file a part time H1 to keep my H1 status. On the filing document, it is said that i may work 20-25 hours and paid by $18/h. However my friend cannot pay me that much. Is that ok if i am paid in fact less than the numbe in the document. And how about the tax i should pay? Is that true that there is no requirment of tax in the first year of H1? Thank you for all your opion!
