H4, AP and travel

Hi, All there,

My wife holds H4 and I hold H1B statuses now. Our I140 and I485 are pending. Both her AP and EAD were approved two days ago. My questions are:
1. Can she apply H4 when she come back from China? If she apply H4, this will not affect the processing of her I140, and I485, etc.
2. If she get some problems when applying H4, can she use AP to come back to the U.S. In that case, she will not have new I94 form, right? Also, this will not affect the process of her I140 and I485, right?
