I have a H-1 visa, and I plan to start up a company on the side. I heard I need to get another H-1 to work for my own company. Can I circumvent it by saying I only volunteer for my own company? Of course I will get the profit (if any) but not be paid as an employee. Will that put me in trouble when apply for a GC? Thanks.
Can H-1 visa holder volunteer for the company he owned?
