is suing FBI for name check a good idea?

My I485 has been pending for more than a year because of FBI name check. Priority date became current long time ago. I found many postings talking about suing FBI for the delay and I am seriously considering it. Can anybody share your experience? Is it a good idea? If the lawsuit lost, is there any consequences?
