Well, my mother was denied visas for the first two applications. Then my parents were denied again, i.e. my mother's 3rd try but my father's 1st try. Later, my father tried himself alone and got the visa.
Just don't get upset and try again. My father was lucky, but my mother wasn't.
Some of my friends who are only kid have their parents come visit them easily, they got visas at the very first try. Some are professors, some are doctors, maybe the jobs count.
