unemployed period between two H1B

求教小白兔，两分钱,

My H1B for current employer is going to expire in 2008. I going to move to a different city, so my future employer is going to apply H1B for me this month. Can I take three weeks off between these two jobs? Another word, umemployed for about 3weeks? Is this going to affect my I-485? Many thanks.
