I went to JFK Federal building in Boston and they issued me an interim EAD on the spot. They shot a picture of me and took my fingerprint of my right index finger. And 5 minutes later, I got my EAD valid for 8 months. I think you should get it within the same day nomatter where you went. Go back and ask them. Good luck!
