For those who catched the first-wave of I-140 / I-485 concurrent filing in Oct 2002, many strange results. Many people filed frivilous I-485 at that time and some did get AP so they reentered US successfully from a foreign trip. INS makes mistake all the time.

Good thing that you still keep a valid non-immigrant status when your first I-485 got denied.
