Personal experience: I-140/485, OPT, H-1b

9/05 filed I-140/I-485 NIW with only 2 reference letters

1/06 I-140 RFE (asking for more letters) and I-485 RFE (medical exam)

4/14/06 OPT

4/27/06 I-140 approved exactly one week after presenting additional 7 letters, then realized my lawyer forgot to file Eb1 for me. So be it. I don't want to get another set of letters anymore. As a consequence, have to wait for the date to be current

7/11/06 interim OPT

7/25/06 filed H1b, then moved from CT to CA

8/7/06 Hib approved

8/14 OPT approved
