Nowadays, it is not unusual to see spouse's case is separtely handled from the pricipal's case. Sometimes spouse approval could come a year later than the principal's. Many factors may involve, such as visa number, name check, security check, officer's leave, and etc. The case just sit on officer's desk collecting dust and he/she forget to touch it. Initiate a status inquiry to find the problem first. Then seek help from your congressional representative or senator if still no news after a resonable time period.
