Urgent: Change of Status from H4 to F1

I filed an I-539 Change of Status application through Nebraska Service Center with a receipt date of May 23, 2006. So far, I still haven't heard anything from them yet. School will start on August 28. Without F1 status, I will not be able to work as a teaching assistant, any suggestions what I can do at this point?
