急问关于485等待期间身份问题

I was J-2 at the time when filing 485 and 485 based AP and EAD last September. Due to my work, I have to travel outside the USA a couple of times using 485 AP for coming back here. I am currently working on 485 attached EAD. My wife has her waivered J-1 which valid until the end of 2007.
My question is once I enter the customs with 485 based AP, does my J-2 status still valid? Am I having dual status, namely being 485 adjustment status and also a J-2 at the same time?
