is J1 overstay affecting immigration? please help

about 10 years ago, I held a J1 visa in the states, and overstayed for about half a year. then I went back and served the country for three years. then I went to Europe and got a PhD. atfer my PhD, I was granted a J1 visa again and come to the states to do postdoc. recently, I applied for H1B and got approved. if I apply for green card, do I have a chance to be approved?
