How could this happen? You must have filled in the date in your application of 8/2008 instead of 11/2007 when you made your H1B extension/transfer last time. There is still more than 1 year to go for now, maybe by then you will receive your GC. If 1 year passed you don't receive your GC consult with your lawyer for such an issue. Good luck!
