Questions about OPT-H1B gap.

Hello, Everyone,

My H1-B will start from October 1, and my OPT will be expire on Aug 31. For the gap in September, I will have to take an unpaid absence of leave.

Since I am working on a very fast-paced R&D project, I do not want to lag behind for one month. I was wondering can I still hang around in my office, say,attend group meeting,take training class, etc.

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated in advance!
