Do I have H1b transfer gap xiaobaitu please

I am transferring from university A to B. the new H1b starting date should be July 1st. university B sent out my H1b transfer/extension application on Jun13. I quitted my University A job on Jun30, but at that moment University B didn't receive my H1b transfer receipt notice, until July 10th, university B told me my H1b transfer application got rejected (because they missed attaching the check). July 14th, University B re-ted my H1b transfer petition (they wrote a letter to INS to disclose what has happened and specially emphasized I was out of status from July 1st until now).
My question is whether I have H1b gap during this period, whether the INS would approve my h1b transfer/extension application.
