Based on my experience, they only search in a general database,

and tell you if there is any record. I don't know if "name checking" record is in that database. I asked for "name checking" record, but they didn't give me specific answers. It just says no any record in their system, but USCIS said my case is pending security checks.

I got FOIPA reply in about a month, no notorization.
