如果你已婚并且配偶也在美国，转成J1 student你的配偶仍然可以取得EAD（工卡），这样可以合法工作。这好像是唯一的好处？别的好像没什么差别，我一个朋友转成J1学生，也是享受$5000的免税，和F1一样。如果单身，还是转成F1好些吧？而且尽早把豁免办好，等到办绿卡时就没有障碍了。
