the risk to use work permission

My I485 is suspending. I am currently working with H1B1 visa. There is a good job chance but the company will not support H1B1 visa. I do not know what is the risk will be to use work permission.If my I485 was rejected, should I leave this country ASAP and I do not have chance to come back? Thank for your help.
