I am waiting to file my I-485. so
1, I don't need to travel to Canada to get my H1 stamp on every international trip. I have done this three times this year so far.
2, My spouse is waiting to get the EAD to extend her H1-B and to avoid filing another PERM. Her employer HR has pushed for filing, but it doesn't make sense for her to do so if I can file our I-485 in a month.
