if its in sensitive area ( with in Technoloy Alert List ), the check might months, latest statistic is 4.7 months for the clearance. most people get cleared in a month, but anything could happen. My gf is a telecom hardware engineer in bayarea for 2 yrs, went back Sept last yr and still waiting for the clearance.
