ask about 1-140/1-485 from xiao bai tu

I have submitted my 1-140 (EB1A) application on May 26, 2006 (RD).
However, I heard from my lawyer that it will talk 3-4 months to be approved.
Could you please tell me if it is better to file I-485 now, or later after I-140
has been approved? My hu*****and hopes to work early.
Do you give a suggestion? Thank you very much for your help.
