Once your H1-B gets approved and the start date is Oct. 1, then you will need to leave the country and reenter at around Oct. 1. Or, you can file a B2 immiediately state that the ending date is Oct. 1. Well , in this way, once you b2 gets approved, on oct. 1, you still need to leave the country to get a h1-b stamp. Sort of complicated.
