Xiaobaitu's information is trure. But the following sentence is also from the law:

"the requirement that an exchange visitor who is within the purview of section 212(e)…must reside and be physically present in the country of nationality or last permanent residence …for an aggregate of at
least two years following departure from the United States."

I believe US government does not care about whether you work there or just stay there.
