Any risks of coming back to usa?

I plan going to Canada for 10 days. At beginning I thought I might need a new h1b visa and sectary in comany tried to make appointment at American embassy for me. Later on I found on here some nice guy told me I dnt need it at all if I stay in canada less thn 30 days. Fortunately, She did not make any confirmation but told them my information in appointment booking system. Can any nice people tell me will I have any risks coming back becuase of the mistake i made by telling them my information and intention to get new h1b visa stamped?
