Can you file for F visa once you filed I140? I heard that you have to answer "yes" on I-539 on the question about immigration filing.

Can you apply for H1 based on F1? Since your F1 is still valid.

May I ask you how you get case# but not receipt #? Are they the same thing? I thought they are the same. I received receipt #, but never heard of case #. Can you use your case# to check status online too?
