Name check

I concurrent file my 140/485, EB1-OR at end of last Sept. FP was taken in 10/2005. 140 has been approaved. PD will be current in next month. My questions are:
1. when do they initiate name check? After file 485 or after 140 getting approval?
2. Where can I get information for name check status?
