question about how to get marr

I have a urgent question. I married an ameican citizen, but there is a mistake on our marriage license. we were told that the judge in our county was very mean and it is hard to correct the mistake on our marriage license. and so we have one option that we have to divorce each other first and get remarried. but i have a question. since we are marrying the same person. do we have to divorce each other? can we just go to another county and get a new marriage license? your advice is so much appreciated.
